Last week,
Raquel told us a story about a little princess, a dragon and a knight. She started
doing a lot of gestures about the story and also, a gesture for each character
and also gestures that helped us (and moreover children), to understand better
the tale.
After this
class, all of us, divided in groups had to create a similar tale following the
structure of the example.
It looked a
bit difficult, but really it wasn’t. With it, all of us have realized that
following this simple structure, we can create and invent a lot of stories very
easily for our future children! =)
Hello Sandra! I have found very interesting your post. The activity looks like very funny and in my opinion this kind of activities which involves gestures and rhythms are very useful resources for doing in the classroom, because students learn new vocabulary and new contents as well as pass a good time and also, and very important, it is helps to develop their social and communicative skills. But how?
ResponderEliminarI think is a good way to improve this kind of skills in children as I mentioned before, but How can we use this method in a classroom?
It could be making groups of students and first of all give them a lot of examples of tales with rithm and after that aplicate it in a text of social science, for example.
After that, students have to create their own songs with another social sciences texts and they could make a little show among all the class.
This can be very useful for children who can use this method of make gestures and add rithm into a text in order to memorize contents of all kind of subjects.
Have you thought any other ways to use this method in the class?
Kiss.
I haven't thought about it, but I really like the idea of doing these type of stories with science contents. It is a subject, in which the students can create gestures very easily to remember the contents later. I like a lot your comment! Thank you!! =)
